Another day

we scatter about
rushing in and out
around and through
me
and you

screaming
laughing
bleeding
crying
silent
living
dying

this City
Grinds its metels
Moans in the winds
Sways with the tides
Burns with its power
Builds itself higher

Everyday is grows up and away

further from our reach

further from our touch

even though we laid the first stone

We will soon be forgotten
and only metel will remain

The ice and snow may freeze
us to the ground
our lifeless bodies
make no sound

as we rot into our poisoned soil
the city stops to recoil

lonely steel shadows in the moonlight
there will be no stars tonight

nothing but the silent steel beams that lay
where we once dreamed of another day
